Silent Land: the fight for fair food

Silent LandIn Cambodia, more and more fertile land is taken over by the large-scale farming industry while farmer families are fighting for the ownership of their land in order to maintain local food security. Who has the sustainable answer to feed the ever-growing world population? Silent Land shows the stories behind this conflict.

You will be taken into the world of a young Cambodian mother called Moon who sees big sugar companies grabbing the land around her village. Moon is afraid her land will be taken as well so she decides to stand up and fight for her rights: to the land and to farm it organically. On the other side stands His Excellency Mong Reththy, owner of vast areas of land and one of the richest men of Cambodia, who also dreams of a better future for his country.
